Cross Country

October - Evan decided he really wanted to do Cross Country this year so I attended the team meeting. His cross country season was going to overlap with his soccer season but his cross country coach was really cool and said he could just attend the meets that didn't conflict with soccer games. Well . . . that turned out to be only one meet. Every other meet was at the same time as his soccer games. Ugh!

And the only reason he could attend that one meet was because it was on a Thursday, not a Saturday. The meet was in Colfax, which is about a 45 minute drive from home. Kurt and I both really wanted to go since this was the only meet we could watch. We were able to drive this awesome group of boys (plus one that is not in the picture) to the meet.

Got their jerseys on and are ready to run!

The whole JAA team

Evan did amazing! He came in 4th (out of 33) in the 5th grade division, which was 1st for JAA! It was the first time I had ever been to a meet before and it was a lot of fun cheering for all the kids. I wish we had been able to attend more.

Way to go Evan!
